How to make the most of a visit to the Chelsea Flower Show

The Chelsea Flower Show - Lessons Learnt

It was our first time at the show and we had a great time.

Tip 1: Book well ahead - www.rhs.org.uk/chelsea.

By the time the show started all tickets were sold out. We booked online and picked up our tickets without difficulty.

Tip 2: The show was VERY crowded.

Get there early and visit the show gardens first and flower pavilions later.

There are days reserved for RHS members and if your budget allows, join the society for the privilege of going on a member's day.

Tip 3: Plan your attack.

There was more info on the BBC web site then the RHS
site.

Tip 4: Its tiring and there are few places to sit.

Be mentally prepared to tough it out or splurge at the champagne lunch tent just to get a place to sit down.

In addition to gardens and flowers, there are a lot of vendor stalls selling
interesting products.

Tip 5: Wear shoes that can handle the mud.

(The Flower Show is held each year in May)
